The UAE Ministry of Interior has launched a new smart service system called E-Channel, for naturalization and residency services. Colonel Mansour Ahmed Al Dhaheri, Director-General of the Residence and Foreigners Affairs Directorate in Abu Dhabi has stated that “This system is being implemented under the framework of the ministry’s efforts to guarantee the delivery of the best services and achieve the UAE Vision 2021”.
How will E-Channel System improve processes?
E-channel will improve the speed and accuracy in the issuing process for visa and residence permits, and will eliminate the need for applicants to go in person to service centres.
What are the fees to register for the E-Channel System for UAE Free Zones?
The fees for E-channel registration consists of a refundable security deposit of AED 5,025, an initial registration amount of AED 2,300 along with an annual renewal fee which will be confirmed upon final directive from the Government. These charges may vary slightly depending on the applicable licensing authority.
This will be applicable for all new and existing companies requiring residency and naturalization services.
Fees of the E-Channel / Tahaluf System Registration
Please note that a new federal online system – E-Channels / Tahaluf System, has been introduced by the Ministry of Interior, UAE for establishment card and visa application processes. All new and existing companies incorporated with Free Zones* requiring the following transactions are required to register for the E-Channel system to proceed with existing and future applications:
- New establishment card on new company
- Establishment card on existing company
- Employment visa and residency
- Visa cancellation for existing and ongoing company (not for companies which will cancel visa and establishment card simultaneously)
