UAE Corporate Tax 2022

  • In Q1 2022, the UAE announced the introduction of a Federal Corporate Tax and companies have begun to prepare for upcoming changes. In Q2, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) launched a public consultation initiative ahead of the official release of the Corporate Tax legislation.
  • Mohamed Al Sayed (Head of Tax, CZTA) will dissect the released public consultation document with the aim to reduce complexity and clarify on what businesses in the UAE can expect from the new regulations.

Economic Substance Regulations

  • This quarter, UAE businesses also need to pay attention the Economic Substance Regulations (ESR). Many companies have their financial year ending in December; hence the obligation to abide by the ESR requirements is of first importance for those companies.
  • Zeeshan Toor (General Manager, CZTA) – an expert in the field of Compliance – will explain your company’s obligations under the ESR to remain safe and away from fines.
