Generally, these are the three types of licenses offered in DMCC:
This license is for companies that buy, sell, import, and export goods from, to, and within the UAE.
This license is for companies that conduct light manufacturing in dedicated facilities within DMCC.
This license is for companies that provide services in the professional, legal, financial, media, technology, education, energy, and healthcare sectors.

Here are the following legal company structures from which you can choose to establish your company in DMCC:
A joint venture is company owned by a combination of individual(s) or owned by more than one company(s)
A subsidiary is an entity owned 100% by a “parent” company. The subsidiary company may perform different business activities and may have a different name than its Parent company.
A branch company is an extension of its parent company. A branch company is usually established in DMCC by companies who want to take advantage of the free zone’s business ecosystem and incentives.
A LLC is an entity separate from its shareholders. Therefore, the liability of the shareholders is limited to the amount of unpaid share capital.
However, under DMCC regulations, all share capital is required to be paid up (i.e., deposited in the company’s bank account).
Company setup process in DMCC usually takes around 2-4 weeks depending on your business activity.
After submission of your initial application, you can now pay for the registration and license fees and sign the legal documents.
You will be then granted by DMCC a provisional approval and bank letter to open a company bank account.
