Important Information

  • All procedures, timelines and costs are valid at the time of going to print, however may become subject to change without notice.
  • Company documentation (Trade Licenses etc.) are issued from Fujairah Creative City Free Zone, part of Fujairah Media, and Visas are issued from Fujairah Immigration. Please note the registered address for your new company will be Fujairah Tower, Fujairah as per what will appear on your Trade License and what will feature on your company stamp and furthermore should be used on all official company correspondence i.e. contracts, invoices etc.
  • The documents, when applying to register a new company with Fujairah Creative City Free Zone, part of Fujairah Media (i.e. application forms and passport copies), need to be submitted directly to the Free Zone in Fujairah in person or online.
  • The use of the Dubai address, phone and fax numbers (that can be used as your correspondent details on your business cards, website, letterheads etc.) along with access to meeting rooms and work space are services provided by 'myOffice' under their Dubai Economic Department (DED) License. These services aren't provided directly by CREATIVE ZONE.
  • Companies registered with Fujairah Creative City Free Zone, part of Fujairah Media are permitted to carry out their business activities within the Free Zone or in other Free Zone in the UAE or outside the UAE. Should the company wish to conduct business activities within the UAE they should either establish a local branch office or transact through a local commercial agent.
  • The CREATIVE ZONE package (Support Services and company registration) is valid for one year starting from the commencement date on the Trade License and both must be renewed annually.
  • Trade licenses issued via CREATIVE ZONE are limited to consultancy and media related activities. No trade licenses are issued pertaining to commercial/general trading related activities. We can however accommodate these activities through Ajman Free Zone or through a local Dubai Economic Department Company (DED), please contact us for our Commercial/General Trading Proposal.
  • The first visa on the company must be taken up by whomever is designated as the 'person in charge' on the Trade License, please note that the 'person in charge' taking up the first visa should submit their original degree certificate attested from the country of origin as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE after which will need to be legally translated into Arabic (please contact us for further information on the attestation and translation procedure).
  • The residency stamping of the 'person in charge' must be completed prior to being able to submit any other visa applications for the company.
  • All company shareholders/employees/officers wishing to take up UAE residency and to be employed in Managerial/Director positions (i.e. Marketing Manager, Operations Manager, Sales Manager etc.) will need to submit their original degree certificate attested from the country of origin as well as from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE and legally translated into Arabic. Furthermore please note in order to obtain 'visa on arrival' to GCC countries it is necessary to hold a Managerial/Director Position on your visa.
  • Shareholders, who don't hold attested degree certificates, may still apply for a visa on the company - only after the first visa on the company of the 'person in charge' has been completed as outlined above - but will only be able to apply for administrative related positions or that of a Sales or Marketing Representative.
  • In certain cases exemptions are made when a company shareholder who is also the person in charge doesn't hold a degree and wishes to apply for the first visa on the company in a Managerial/Director position. If they hold a previous visa in a Managerial/Director position and their name appears on the Trade License on the company where the previous visa was held, an exemption is likely to be granted. Please contact us for further clarification as the situation remains fluid in these cases.
  • In order to sponsor dependents you will need to either have a Managerial/Director position on your visa or that of a Sales or Marketing Representative, furthermore you will also need to illustrate to Fujairah Immigration that you have a business center/office agreement in Dubai. For our clients on the premier package we will provide the necessary free of charge, for our clients on the basic package we will charge 500 aed to facilitate the same. Please note that should you opt for the 'Freelancer' company setup option you won't be able to sponsor dependents.
  • No applicants over the age of 60 are eligible to apply for employments visas on the company, even if they are one of the shareholders and hold an attested degree.
  • Visa applicants holding Sri Lankan and Indonesian passports will need to carry out a medical in their home country or in Fujairah prior to applying for their visa.
  • Visa applicants from Sri Lanka, Philippines, Ethiopia and Indonesia applying for non managerial/directorial position i.e. clerk, administrative, sales, marketing etc. will be required to submit a copy of an education certificate indicating that they have completed some sort of schooling up to the age of 16.
  • If a visa applicant has several previous UAE residency visas where their profession is mentioned as "housemaid" they will not be able to obtain an employment visa under the company
  • In order for the company establishment card to be applied for and visas to be issued on the company, we will require the residency visa copy and/or recent visit visa entry stamp and/or residency visa cancellation papers of all the shareholders.
  • On occasions, Fujairah Immigration have been known to ask for the bank statements of your company normally at the time of applying for the 4th or 5th visa on the company or earlier if they suspect the company may be engaging in the activity of selling visas on their company. Please note that visas issued on the company are exclusively for person/s working for that company. If a company is found to be selling visas and/or a visa holder is engaging in work for another company, the person/s in question are likely to face legal prosecution and deportation.
  • Restrictions currently exist for passport holders from the following countries to obtain visas on the company (they can however still obtain visas as dependents): Iran (also to act as a company shareholder), Kenya, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Egypt, Somalia, and Yemen. Also note persons born in Iran and Israel but currently carry a passport from another country will be able to act as company shareholder but won't be able to apply for employment visas on the company
